Support the Troops???

How many times do we have to hear that Conservatives Support the Troops while we read:

W submitted his first budget post Invasion with PAY CUTS for troops.  It was not until the Army

Times ran an Editorial on the subject that W withdrew.

Our injured troops come back to hospice care at places like Walter Reed

$8B and 200,000 weapons just "misplaced" in Iraq, net result going to the Insurgents

And now this,

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (NBC) -- When they came home from Iraq, 2,600 members of the Minnesota National Guard had been deployed longer than any other ground combat unit. The tour lasted 22 months and had been extended as part of President Bush's surge.
1st Lt. Jon Anderson said he never expected to come home to this: A government refusing to pay education benefits he says he should have earned under the GI bill.
"It's pretty much a slap in the face," Anderson said. "I think it was a scheme to save money, personally. I think it was a leadership failure by the senior Washington leadership... once again failing the soldiers."

As someone who spent my entire youth growing up on Military Bases and spending a total of 3 years with my father in Vietnam, I am amazed at what Conservatives consider supporting the troops.

It is not a yellow magnetic ribbon and blind dedication to killing whoever we are told disagrees with us.
